Overseas Recruitment  

APM provides injury prevention and management services in the Australian Capital Territory, New South Wales, Northern Territory, Queensland, South Australia, Tasmania, Victoria and throughout Western Australia.

APM's broad representation across the states and territories of Australia offers consistency in service delivery and working partnership to our customers Australia wide. In the event that a claimant moves interstate, APM's nationwide service reach ensures consistency of service delivery Australia wide.

  • APM employs professionals from overseas on Working Holiday Visas, appropriate Student Visas, appropriate Temporary Work Visas and Permanent Visas. 
  • APM is able to assist with sponsorship for temporary or permanent visas (conditions apply). 
  • The entry requirements for most allied health professions are a bachelor degree or higher qualification
  • All persons wishing to practice in Australia must have their qualifications assessed by the relevant organization (see table below).
  • Many allied health professions also require registration with an Australian state board.  
  • A comprehensive knowledge of English is essential to practice in Australia and all applications must satisfy the English language requirements.  This may involve undertaking an English language test.

Allied Health Professionals

The following instructions apply to Allied Health Professionals looking to work in Australia.

Step 1 – Have your Skills Recognised.

Step 2 – Register with a Registration Board relevant to your Profession. (Please note: Step 2 only applies to the first table of Health Professionals). Registration boards are statutory authorities responsible for the registration of particular professions.

Step 3 – It may benefit you to join a Professional Body relevant to your profession.

Step 4 – In the private sector, you may want to look into purchasing Professional Indemnity Insurance from a reputable insurance provider.

Step 5 – Obtain a working visa - The Department of Immigration can assist you with your application for a working visa permit to work in Australia.
