APM grads making a big difference in healthcare

APM is proud to offer several Graduate Programs, to help allied health graduates begin their career in a supportive and nurturing environment.

Our program offers a permanent role, which is unique among graduate programs, with opportunities available Australia-wide working across a number of APM brands and disciplines.

In 2022, over 80 graduates started their journey with APM and have already begun making a positive difference to the lives of people with injury, illness or disability.

This year, graduates worked across APM WorkCare, Acumen, Interact, Konekt, Lifecare and Early Start Australia, with roles in:

  • Occupational Therapy
  • Physiotherapy
  • Speech Pathology
  • Psychology
  • Exercise Physiology
  • Social Work
  • Rehabilitation Counselling

APM’s graduate experience

Graduates are aligned with a brand at the beginning of their time with APM and can fully engage with all that the brand offers its clients.

They also engage with their broader graduate cohort through live or online networking and business information events, undertake structured learning modules and have access to our MCI Solution courses to foster workplace skills and know-how.

Mentoring is a huge part of the program, as is getting to know APM and the industry as a whole.

Jacob Danielsen-Jensen, who joined the Graduate Program with Acumen as a Rehabilitation Consultant in Queensland said that:

"Being a part of the program has given me the opportunity to explore the other APM brands and I’ve gained a much broader view of my industry. It’s shown me that there are options for my future career at APM, if I ever decided I wanted a change from my initial field of work."

Connecting with future APM team members

APM’s Graduate Team, led by Simon Gibson, attended over 40 events with universities and professional membership bodies in 2022 – so chances are we might have met many future APM team members at these career fairs, webinars, panels, workshops, student events and conferences.

Simon said: “Getting out to universities and meeting with students studying across the allied health disciplines is a great way to showcase what APM can offer after they finish their course.

“We love getting to know future APM team members and we’re happy to have a detailed chat about the opportunities and career development that our Graduate Program fosters.

“If you’re yet to graduate, but interested in learning more about our program, make sure you stop by and say hello to us at these events in 2023!”
