The Role

An opportunity to work in the finance team of a fast-growing ASX 200 company. The Taxation Team operates in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, where no two days are the same. Reporting to the Finance Manager, the role is responsible for ensuring all taxation reporting obligations are delivered to a high standard, as well as supporting on-going process improvements.

Working within the Taxation Team, your duties and responsibilities will include:

• Preparation and lodgement of state and federal government taxes including income tax, FBT, payroll tax and GST in Australia and New Zealand
• Preparation of income tax provision and associated tax journals
• Providing assistance with tax matters to internal stakeholders
• Liaising with the ATO and assisting with queries
• Assisting external tax advisors with information requests and supporting documentation
• Support with other administrative tasks and ad-hoc projects as required

Essential requirements

• 3+ years’ experience in a Tax Accounting position at a Big 4 or mid-tier firm
• CA or CPA qualified, or completing qualification
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, with advanced Excel skills
• Strong prioritisation and problem-solving skills with ability to be able to think outside of the box
• High degree of self-motivation, collaboration and outcome-driven work ethic
