About the role:

As an Assistant Tax Accountant for APM, you will be responsible for preparing indirect & direct tax compliance across the Australian & New Zealand companies. You will be a part of a diverse, fast paced and inclusive team that strongly supports the day to day success and operation of our community focused for purpose business, that truly makes a difference to those that need it, around the world.


Your responsibility:

• Preparation of local, state and federal government reporting requirements and lodgements including income tax, FBT, payroll tax and GST in Australia and New Zealand
• Employment tax processes including contractor payments reporting
• Preparation of income tax provision and associated tax journals
• Liaise with the ATO and assist with queries
• Assisting external tax advisors with information requests and supporting documentation
• Support with other administrative tasks and ad-hoc projects as required
  
  

About you:

• 2 to 3 years' experience in a Tax Accounting position
• Working towards CA or CPA qualification
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, with advanced Excel skills
• Strong prioritisation and problem-solving skills with ability to be able to think outside of the box and work with strong efficiency
• High degree of self-motivation, collaboration and outcome-driven work ethic
