About the role:
As an Assistant Tax Accountant for APM, you will be responsible for preparing indirect & direct tax compliance across the Australian & New Zealand companies. You will be a part of a diverse, fast paced and inclusive team that strongly supports the day to day success and operation of our community focused for purpose business, that truly makes a difference to those that need it, around the world.
Your responsibility:
Preparation of local, state and federal government reporting requirements and lodgements including income tax, FBT, payroll tax and GST in Australia and New Zealand
Employment tax processes including contractor payments reporting
Preparation of income tax provision and associated tax journals
Liaise with the ATO and assist with queries
Assisting external tax advisors with information requests and supporting documentation
Support with other administrative tasks and ad-hoc projects as required
About you:
2 to 3 years' experience in a Tax Accounting position
Working towards CA or CPA qualification
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, with advanced Excel skills
Strong prioritisation and problem-solving skills with ability to be able to think outside of the box and work with strong efficiency
High degree of self-motivation, collaboration and outcome-driven work ethic
