Am I suited to being an Employment Consultant with APM?
This is a flexible part time role working 22.8 hours weekly. Perhaps you are a parent or just someone looking for flexibility in your life while focusing on other commitments.
Previous experience is not a must. What we need from you is positivity and drive and a love for helping others succeed.
Perhaps you have experience solving problems in a call centre role, leadership exposure as a store or restaurant manager, negotiation skills in a sales role or a love of motivating others from working as a personal trainer.
This job is all about building relationships and understanding what makes people tick.
A typical week will involve...
You’ll be supporting DES (Disability Employment Services) jobseekers in the Glenelg community who have an injury, health condition or disability, guiding them to find work.
Helping DES jobseekers identify their skills and abilities
Building relationships with employers to identify and create employment opportunities
Marketing your jobseekers to potential employers
Increasing jobseekers’ capacity for employment (through training, referral to counselling or other support services, coaching in job search skills)
Creating a clear pathway to employment for jobseekers through personal Job Plans
