We have potential Aged Care Assessor opportunities and are seeking expressions of interest from Registered Nurses, Physiotherapists and Occupational Therapists to carry out high quality funding assessments with older Australians living in Residential Aged Care Facilities using the AN-ACC tool. This is an integral part of Aged Care Reform in Australia and an exciting opportunity to be on the leading edge of this change. These roles are likely to be available on full time or part time basis with hours that can be structured to suit you.

Uniquely, direct care won't be part of your day-to-day - instead, you'll apply your experience to:

  • Conduct desktop reviews of existing care documentation
  • Interview staff about care receiver capabilities and care needs
  • Conduct interviews with care receivers
  • Collaborate with other practitioners in your team to accurately complete assessment tools
  • Combine your findings to assess the appropriate classification for restorative care / reablement.

Assessors are being sought, dependent on experience. Travel to regional locations may be required, with applicable meal and travel allowances.

Why apply to this EOI:

  • Full, paid training provided to ensure your success
  • Strong support network to help you do your best
  • Future opportunities for further specialised training to carry out a wider array of assessments for older Australians
  • You'll be part of the APM group of companies, a network of national and international health brands, offering an exciting path of career development for you to explore

To be considered, you will need:

  • 5 years’ experience in aged care or a related area of health care
  • Relevant Tertiary qualifications in Nursing, Physiotherapy or Occupational Therapy
  • Current unrestricted General Registration Ahpra
  • Demonstrated Australian aged care experience including working with people with dementia
  • Demonstrated experience conducting clinical assessments using a range of assessment tools

...and skills related to motivation, organisation and working independently and as part of a team.

Be first to be considered for these exciting new roles that stand to have a positive impact across the sector. Apply today!
