About the role:

As the Global Security Solution Architect, this senior position reports into the Global Security team, and is an amazing new opportunity that will allow you to use your expertise to deliver change to APM’s Global cyber security architecture by assessing requirements sourced from threat assessments, architecture analysis and changing business requirements to deliver best practice solutions.


Your responsibilities:

  • Work with the regional technology teams globally to ensure standardisation of Security controls in line with the Cyber Strategy
  • Develop standard repeatable solutions/patterns that address requirements delivering specific security functionality whether for a business solution or for a product
  • Interpret relevant security policies and threat/ risk profiles into secure architectural solutions that mitigate the risks and conform to legislation and regulations, and relate to business needs
  • Identify and evaluate any regional security, regulatory and legal requirements to embed into security architectures and patterns
  • Benchmark Security strategy and architecture solutions against industry frameworks such as ISO27001, NIST, CIS Top 20 and MITRE
  • Review technology solution architectures and technical designs according to security standards and best practices, providing feedback to the architect/designer
  • Maintain an awareness and working knowledge of known and emerging technologies and solutions which will benefit APM, while staying abreast of APM’s industry sector, customers and competitors
  • Apply common architectural frameworks (e.g. TOGAF, SABSA).
  • Advise regional lines of business, legal and IT on security requirements commensurate with APM’s threat and risk environment
  • Work with Security and Regional IT teams to continuously update the Group Cyber Security strategy, aligning to business objectives and assisting in the development of an Enterprise Information Security Architecture.
  • Manage stakeholders for security solutions; develop productive relationships with Regional Technology teams and business managers
  • Work with Global Security team members to develop, implement, and administer Cyber Security initiatives
  • Maintain technical reference models for security architecture in co-operation with other technology architecture teams.
  • Lead the Security continuous improvement function to ensure controls are appropriate to risk posture, compliance requirements, threat landscape and technology capabilities. Whilst also deriving the greatest benefit from our licensing spend


About you:

  • 5+ years’ experience in a similar role or equivalent environment
  • Robust domain experience from an Information Security standpoint
  • Strong, self-motivated, outcome-driven and productive work ethic
  • Standard cyber recognitions such as CISA/M, CISSP, SABSA or equivalent
  • Highly developed communication, organisational, influencing, and interpersonal skills
  • Strong negotiation and relationship building skills
  • Good working knowledge of Cloud Technologies especially Azure and zero trust technologies and approaches
