What is an Immediate Response Consultant?

An Immediate Response Consultant provides a range of brief interventions and immediate response services via telephone and digital platforms like chat and video. This includes individual coaching and counselling to support and guide Managers, HR, People Leaders and their employees on workplace issues, and undertaking outbound health and wellbeing checks.

Working as an Immediate Response Consultant, you will:

  • Enjoy flexible working conditions

  • Provide individual proactive and reactive support & coaching on work, life and health matters
  • Engage with clients across various channels – Telephone, video, Chat etc.
  • Scope requirements for other support as required
  • Complete reporting, time recording and data collection as required

To be successful in this role you will have: 

  • Psychologist with full AHPRA registration
  • Minimum 2 years of relevant clinical counselling experience across a broad range of presentations
  • Ability to undertake clinical risk assessments and adhere to escalation protocols
  • Good IT skills, superior written skills, attention to detail and the ability to follow administration procedures with accuracy and efficiency
  • Warmth, flexibility, and calmness under pressure
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills
  • Strong influencing, negotiating and relationship building skills
  • Current Working with Children clearance applicable to your state (not required for Qld based Psychologists)
  • Willingness to undergo a National Criminal History check
