Web Developer

Seeking a highly motivated Web Developer to join our national team in West Perth.  Our ever expanding, collaborative, dynamic development team is responsible for the delivery of software, web, and reporting solutions to meet the needs of the Employment Services division of Advanced Personnel Management (APM).

Day in the life…

  • Work estimates are provided and have a variance of < 10%. 
  • Work items have detailed notes and acceptance criteria. 
  • Items are released for testing with a minimal number of defects (Less than 10% of PBI’s or bugs have rectification tasks raised). 
  • Release notes accurately describe what is included in each build (Including Work Item references) and contain accurate links to build locations, installation guides and configuration changes. 
  • Agreed timeframes are met and delays are communicated early. 
  • Actively participates in APM development processes 
  • Actively works to achieve team goals, assist peers as required and provide accurate information in stand-ups and status update meetings. 
  • Participates in and performs code reviews
  • Provide excellent customer service and be client focused. 
  • Adhere to appropriate SLAs 
  • Assist with product deployments, upgrades, and production support issues 
  • Work to continually improve organisational systems and processes to maximise employee efficiency, effectiveness, and productivity to deliver quality Client outcomes  
  • Actively develop working relationships that demonstrate equity and respect of different cultural perspectives and diversity 

We’re looking for someone with…

  • 4 years’ experience in software development, including exposure to all facets of the SDLC is preferred
  • Tertiary qualifications in Business; Technology; Computer Science or a related field.  
  • Highly regarded: Microsoft certifications in software, database and or Agile development 
  • Advanced client development skills in at least one of the following HTML 5, CSS, JavaScript frameworks (Angular, React.JS, JQuery, Knockout etc) 
  • In depth experience in full stack projects including - C# .Net development, SQL Server or similar large-scale relational databases, Microsoft Entity Framework and or Web API 
  • Unit testing and test-driven development. 
  • Experience with Cloud based development and deployment, especially within Azure 

 

Desired Skills

  • Source control using Git
  • Atlassian tools (Jira, Bamboo and Confluence)
  • Azure DevOps
