The APM IT team consists of over 100 staff in the APAC region and over 200 globally assisting APM group to make a difference in the community by delivering quality outputs to support our frontline staff to enable better lives. We are experiencing an exciting period of growth in the organisation, which would see our current IT team to grow substantially throughout 2022 and beyond.
The Role
Working as an Infrastructure DBA you will be responsible for supporting our multinational Azure cloud environment in a fast-paced corporate environment. You will be part of a team of 9 Infrastructure specialists and have influence over the design, implementation and support of the Database infrastructure that supports our global information systems. Full time opportunity based in Perth, Sydney, Melbourne, Geelong or Brisbane.
In this role you’ll:
Design, deploy and manage APM Databases, including:
Configuration
Backup activities and testing of backup/restore strategies
Monitor and maintenance activities.
Design Database Backup Processes, protocols and relevant standards.
Provide end to end technical database support and problem resolution.
Create Database management procedures.
Review and tune production databases
Coordinate and implement database patch management.
Coordinate database operations with Infrastructure and Development teams
Skills you’ll bring
Demonstrated experience in Microsoft SQL
SQL Server 2016 – 2019
Azure SQL and Azure Managed Instances
Upgrades, migrations and patching
On-prem to cloud-based migrations
Replication and encryption
Performance tuning and investigation
HA and DR technologies
The ability to prioritise effectively
Experience working with ITIL aligned processes
Certifications highly regarded:
AZ-900: Microsoft Azure Fundamentals
DP-900: Microsoft Azure Data Fundamentals
DP-300 Azure Database Administrator Associate
