Your new role
You will be responsible for leading the Regional Assessment Services (RAS)Team to deliver holistic needs assessments for senior Australians, support planning, and referral and information provision as part of the Commonwealth Home Support Program. In addition to current program requirements, the position will play a key role in preparing for the aged care assessment changes stemming from major government reforms.
With a large service footprint, the position can be based anywhere, noting our largest RAS teams are in South Australia and Queensland. The role can be undertaken from home or an APM office and there is some interstate travel.
Who are we seeking?
To be considered, you will be a senior leader with people and operational leadership experience and a working knowledge of the Aged Care Sector. Your application should demonstrate:
Demonstrated experience (3+ years) in a senior leadership role within the Aged Care sector or related field
Demonstrated understanding of the needs and issues facing older people and their family/carers
Strong interpersonal and relationship building skills with internal and external stakeholders
Demonstrated people leadership skills across multi-sites or geographically dispersed teams
Proven operational and business management skills
A sound knowledge and understanding of Commonwealth policy and funding arrangements
Tertiary qualification in Nursing, Allied Health or related field and experience in community aged and/or disability services is highly desirable.
