We are looking for a Occupational Therapist (Early Intervention) to join our team at our clinic based in Sandringham, VIC who is passionate about delivering assessment and intervention to children and adolescents.
We have a very knowledgeable and dedicated transdisciplinary clinical team and allied health team who pride themselves on providing clinical support and evidence based practices. We have regular group and individual supervision, in-house professional development and allied health team meetings.

The Opportunity:
The role will provide effective and efficient evidenced-based occupational therapy within the allocated caseload of Early Intervention Programs. The Early Start Denver Model (ESDM) is our evidence based early intervention program we provide to children under school age.
You will work in a transdisciplinary model alongside other health professionals such as Speech Pathologists, Psychologists, Special Education Teachers and Behaviour Therapists. You will also be responsible for individual occupational therapy assessments and intervention services in our Allied Health Teams. This position enables you to work collaboratively in a transdisciplinary team while still maintaining and enhancing your own clinical skills within your own caseload. Onsite training in ESDM is provided and working in a transdisciplinary model.
Provide evidence based assessment and therapy to a paediatric caseload - direct support to children with developmental delays and/or disabilities;
Day to day in the role will include assessment and intervention sessions with a mixed caseload;
Interventions are one-on-one with focus on evidence based practice;
Services can be provided in our fantastic clinic space, client homes, schools and via telehealth - administer assessments, providing direct and indirect intervention, liaising with families, teachers, professionals and support staff;
Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team environment to deliver quality, evidence-based outcomes.
What do you need to join?
Tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline;
Passion for making a difference with a focus on making therapy fun, engaging and meaningful for families!
Exceptional communication skills that enable you to work in a culturally rich and diverse environment and collaborate in a multidisciplinary team environment;
Effective time management and attention to detail;
Experience in working with children and/or disability and confidence in your role with children and their parents;
Compliance – AHPRA Registration, Working with Children Check, National Police Check, NDIS workers screening check, Covid-19 Vaccination Certificate, First Aid Training, Driver’s License & Vehicle.
