Operating in the Australian market for 30 years, Assure Programs (part of the APM Group) is a well-known, strong brand within the EAP Industry. We partner with organisations to provide support, guidance and intervention whilst aiming to reduce mental health challenges that impact on retention and productivity of their employees.
What does an On-Call Clinician do?
Our Clinicians are committed to making a difference in people’s lives. We know that mental health is impacting on so many individuals, families and organisations in our communities and EAP provides an opportunity to access professional mental health support in a timely manner. You will provide urgent psychological services (EAP) through an out-of-hours telephone support service. This role offers flexibility and is a great 'top up' to your existing professional activity. You can be based anywhere in Australia to be eligible.
The service operates on a roster basis covering weeknights and weekends. A typical roster includes one weeknight a week, and one weekend shift a month (minimum). There are fortnightly (virtual) meetings (approx 1 hour) that you will also be paid to attend. Shift times include Mon to Fri (AEST) 5pm to 8:30am (e.g. start 5pm Wed, finish 8:30am Thurs). Sat (AEST) 8:30am to Sun 8:30am and Sun 8:30am to 8:30am Mon. Remuneration is based on an annual salary including shift allowance and hourly rate. System and process training is provided.
In this home-based role, the level of service delivery will vary according to customer needs including EAP counselling, psychological interventions, and Critical Incident Management Services.
What does it take to become an On-Call Clinician?
As qualified Psychologist with general AHPRA registration OR Mental Health Accredited Social Worker, you will bring 5 years (minimum) relevant clinical experience and a committed, can-do attitude.
A curious mind, empathy and good listening skills are essential, combined with competent admin skills to follow through with procedures accurately and efficiently.
Best suited to a Psychologist or Social Worker who is looking for a flexible arrangement on an ongoing basis.
On-Call work not your preference?
We also have multiple vacancies for EAP Clinicians offering hours between 7:30am to 6:30pm for 2-5 days per week (Mon to Fri). Feel free to reach out for a conversation to discuss your preferences.
