What you’ll be doing

Working from our Wellington office you will provide rehabilitation to paediatric clients with a range of conditions affecting their physical development, mobility and ability to participate in activities of everyday life, as well as their families.

Reporting to a locally based Team Leader and part of a SUPPORTIVE, multidisciplinary team, you will provide evidence-based assessments, FULL SCOPE of paediatric physiotherapy and intervention sessions ranging from children to adolescents with mild to complex needs, a true mixed caseload.

In this role you will utilise your specific skills through:

  • Conducting assessments & developing tailored therapy programs across clinic and community settings
  • Working closely with key stakeholders providing information, education and support.
  • Education, advice and goal setting with clients, parents, whanau and teachers
  • Equipment provision
  • Regular monitoring of client progress and report writing

What you’ll need to succeed:

  • Tertiary qualification in BHSc Physiotherapy / Bachelor of Physiotherapy
  • Current registration with Physiotherapy NZ and Annual Practicing Certificate
  • Experience and passion for working with children and/or disability, confidence in your role with children and their parents. (preferred)
  • Full NZ/AU Driver's Licence 
  • New Zealand working rights
