The role

As the Principal Consultant, you will have the opportunity to develop new content, and deliver exciting projects alongside a great team. You will oversee key decisions relating to existing projects, set parameters for the level of consultant supervision, and work collaboratively with the leadership team in delivering proactive and innovative solutions to our clients. You will have the ability to seek, secure, develop and implement new client projects of varying scope and complexity.

You will have attention to both forward-looking sales and marketing for the region or Division, and effective implementation of multiple existing projects and resourcing. You will lead and develop sustainable and effective working relationships with clients, while working collaboratively with our internal client services and business development teams. You will also develop strong relationships and collaboration with key brands in the APM Health Portfolio including, providing shared expertise and resources to deliver the best service for clients and grow our business.  Within client relationships, this role will also oversee frequency of project meetings, review of key documents and troubleshooting.

The ideal candidate

For this role, you will thrive in a fast-paced and flexible consulting environment, have well-developed team leadership, analytical and problem-solving skills. You are capable of end-to-end project delivery, are curious and learning-oriented, can think strategically and commercially, you have excellent interpersonal and communication skills and are emotionally resilient. You will be genuinely interested in supporting your team and meet regularly to review progress, staff activity and output.

In addition to the above, we require you to have:

  • 10+ years’ demonstrated skills and experience in organisational consulting
  • Experience leading and managing end to end consulting projects to timeline, budget, quality standards and to client’s satisfaction
  • Experience in facilitating workshops and providing a variety of advice and solutions to senior leaders across a variety of industries 
  • Experience developing new business and growing accounts in the organisational consulting arena
  • Mentorship and development experience 
  • A demonstrated track record in proactively maintaining and managing a product sales pipeline
  • Sound I.T. capability and proficiency with MS Office suite
  • A Master of Organisational Psychology, MBA or similar, relevant post-graduate qualification (desirable)
  • Eligibility for AHPRA Registration as a Psychologist (desirable) or;
  • Eligibility as a board approved supervisor (desirable) or;
  • Membership / registration with a relevant Professional Body e.g. APS, AHRI or AICD (desirable)
  • Willingness to undergo a National Criminal History check
