We specialise in developing positive workplace mental health initiatives that are aimed at the prevention of psychological injury in the workplace. We also delivery a range of secondary interventions focussed on promoting positive mental health and the early identification and intervention of mental ill-health. The Role

This is a permanent, full time opportunity that can be based in our Melbourne, Sydney or Brisbane CBD office (working from home during any Covid related restrictions). 

Broadly, our Principal Consultant Psychologists are workplace mental health experts who consult on a broad range of psychological health and safety matters. To achieve this, they apply their knowledge and expertise in workplace mental health to the delivery of practical, evidence-based assessment and interventions, such as focus groups, training delivery, strategic organisational analyses and other consulting services, to deliver services onsite at the client’s premises (services delivered virtually during Covid related travel or lockdown restrictions). The role is varied, engaging, and high tempo.

The ideal candidate

We are seeking a highly capable industry professional with demonstrated expertise. You will have a demonstrated history of operating efficiently at both a strategic and tactical level to ensure organisational goals are achieved. Furthermore, you will have:

  • Minimum 5 years’ relevant experience with a focus on workplace mental health (i.e. developing workplace mental health strategies / training delivery)
  • Registration as a Psychologist with AHPRA
  • Endorsement as an Organisational Psychologist (preferred not essential)
  • Potential to gain, or current registration as a board approved supervisor
  • A deep understanding how psychology relates to people at work to achieve organisational outcomes
  • Ability to engage in reflective practice and facilitate thought, encouraging individual understanding, growth and emotional awareness
  • Excellent research skills, ability to understand how scientific data relates to practice and how it effects organisations
  • Ability to integrate data findings into workplace interventions (i.e. strategic planning and assessments)
  • Strong mental health literacy, ability to articulate a range of workplace mental health topics in an accessible manner
  • Confidence and credibility when presenting / communicating workplace strategies and solutions to an audience, also while communicating the value of organisational psychology interventions to external stakeholders
  • Ability to rapidly build rapport, build new and maintain existing relationships for the long-term
  • An understanding of the importance of shared-learning and be motivated to collaborate, plus a willingness to receive and be receptive to feedback
  • Ability to take initiative, work autonomously with good planning, time management and organisational skills
  • Flexibility, mental agility, and resilience
  • Ability to navigate digital platforms, understanding of, and efficient use of MS Word, PowerPoint and Excel
  • Willingness to undergo a new pre-employment police check.
