About the role

This role will see you working in a busy, exciting and out of the box thinking “Start up” working environment, where there is plenty of room to share knowledge, ideas and be the part of creating something pretty special for our community. Your role is to ensure accurate and efficient planning and execution of the Employable Me product development life cycle. Reporting directly to the Chief Executive Officer, a typical day will have you outline, prioritise, and provide direction on the objectives, goals, and vision of the product development team, ensuring collaboratively you achieve the best possible outcomes for APM Employable Me.

Here’s what you’ll be doing:

  • Manage the Software Development Lifecycle of the Employable Me product, from concept to design, proof of concept, estimation and analysis, development, support and handover, and product end of life.
  • Maintain an approved product development roadmap, vision, strategy, and prioritised development queue.
  • Deliver all project and product related activities to approved budget, scope, and timelines, communicating any delays early.
  • Contribute to the organisations long-term product vision and plan.
  • Ensure accurate and compliant processes for product development team, while making suggestions where improvements can be made.
  • Work to continually improve organisational systems and processes to maximise employee efficiency, effectiveness, and productivity to deliver quality outcomes.
  • Actively develop working relationships that demonstrate equity and respect of different cultural perspectives and diversity.

Experience and Qualifications

  • 5+ years’ digital product management and / or product development management experience (defining & launching products) and Team leadership experience
  • Robust problem-solving, prioritisation, organisation and time keeping skills
  • Experience in defining product requirements, project plans, tracking performance and delivering projects on time, in budget, and to scope
  • Tertiary qualifications in Information Technology, Project Management, or a related field of study.
  • Product/Project Management, Other management or related certifications/qualifications - Highly regarded
  • DevOps experience is highly regarded
  • Ability to elicit and understand customer needs and requirements.
  • Capability to advocate for the product, features, or for customers.
  • Delivery of core customer business requirements, with an ability to think laterally in determining effective solutions for business problems.
  • Ability to determine quality requirements and translate these to technical plans and documentation quickly and accurately.
  • Risk, issue and change management experience.
