APM Workcare understands that prevention and proactive management of injuries in the workplace is critically important, and we work with employers and their people to minimise the personal and business impact of injuries, illness and disability through prevention, rehabilitation, and training.
APM Workcare, in partnership with the Australian Federal Police Association (AFPA) are collaborating on newly created role located in Canberra. Working FT or PT as a Psychologist, you will be piloting a new and innovative way to ensure treatment is received at the right time for those that perform critical roles to the nation.
You will be using your clinical expertise and skills to support AFPA member wellbeing through the delivery of psychological support services including counselling, psychological interventions, linking in with appropriate ongoing support services as well as trauma and critical incident management.
Outside of lockdowns, services will be delivered face to face for local members and through video conferencing for interstate and international members. Members are employees of federal law enforcement and security agencies, including the Australian Federal Police.
