The Senior Clinical Advisor provides clinical oversight responsibility and quality management for APM Assessment Services across the Regional Assessment Service and AN-ACC Assessment Programs.
An experienced clinician, the Senior Clinical Advisor:
Is responsible for leadership and development of a team of Clinical Advisors who provide clinical support, advice, and guidance to a team of Residential Aged Care Assessors.
Leads Clinical governance meetings and actions
Drives the continuing improvement of quality systems.
Oversees assessment quality and monitoring processes.
Leads the Development, implementation and maintenance of a learning community / program for Assessors.
Develops, implements and maintains Assessor clinical support frameworks.
Implements quality assurance frameworks.
Develops monitoring and evaluation frameworks including Customer Satisfaction surveys and Quality Audits.
Provides supervision and line management to Clinical Advisors & Quality Support Staff.
To be successful in this role…
You will offer a diverse background with a strong emphasis on quality assurance. Your genuine passion for leading and developing a team from the front, whilst sharing your strong clinical knowledge will ensure you and your teams’ success.
You will have:
Preferably 3+ years’ clinical experience in aged care (or related health care)
Current unrestricted General Registration with the Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
Demonstrated team leadership, development, and coaching experience
Experience in and understanding of Australian Aged Care Standards
Demonstrated experience conducting clinical assessments using a range of assessment tools
Demonstrated ability to develop, implement and evaluate clinical professional development, education and training activities
Demonstrated leadership experience in clinical governance, education, audit or accreditation
