The role:

As a Senior Clinician, you will be delivering proactive workplace interventions, wellbeing support, coaching, and advice to a variety of FBG clients.  You will work with employees whom are appointed to roles based within government, private, and Not-for-Profit sectors, to assess their mental health and wellbeing, and provide evidence-based interventions. You will facilitate sessions to a variety of clients from different professions and industries and levels of seniority via telehealth or face-to-face at the FBG office or client’s workplace. These clients may work as Judicial Officers, Court staff, Principals and specialists working in other roles in which, regular opportunities to reflect on their work and wellbeing is proactively supported by their employer due to the nature of the work.  

This role will have you based in our Canberra office, also offering some flexibility to work from home when delivering via telehealth. We are seeking candidates with ongoing availability, ideally full time (5 days), with an immediate start date. We will also consider candidates with 2, 3 or 4 days availability per week. You will join a highly collaborative team comprised of Senior Psychologists (Clinical and Organisational) and Mental Health Social Workers.

You are an approachable, compassionate, and energetic individual who will engage with your clients and the FBG team with ease. You are genuinely passionate about psychological wellbeing and ongoing learning and development. Success is measured by your client’s wellbeing and your ability to provide effective outcomes based on their needs.

About you:

  • AHPRA registered Psychologist OR Accredited Mental Health Social Worker (Mental Health Accreditation preferred for Social Workers)
  • 8+ years relevant experience in clinical and counselling services
  • Adept and compliant keeping client case notes / records electronically
  • Confident, highly professional and ability to effectively engage with our cohort of clients
  • Willingness to engage in internal Professional Development and supervision
  • Willingness to travel within the Canberra and regional areas if required (occasional)
  • Current driver licence (not essential)
  • Willingness to undergo a new National Criminal History Check upon successful application
