We are looking for a passionate and engaging Speech Pathologist to join our team in Rosny Park (Hobart TAS).
We are a new part of Early Start Australia, joining up in November last year. Before then you may have known us as MouthWorks Therapy Centre. The Opportunity:
This is a ground floor opportunity for keen to muck in and have a go and make some meaningful difference in clients lives! We are looking for an enthusiastic Speech Pathologist to help deliver therapy programs to our clients. Someone who can build relationships both with clients and supervising clinicians to be a truly client focused team player!
You will work side by side with our Team of Allied Health Professionals to deliver Therapy Programs tailored specifically to our clients needs. You may work within schools, aged care settings, in one of our clinics or in our clients homes, but it will always be one on one, face to face delivery of therapy!
Provide evidence based assessment and therapy to a paediatric caseload - direct support to children with developmental delays and/or disabilities;
Day to day in the role will include assessment and intervention sessions with a mixed caseload;
Interventions are one-on-one with focus on evidence based practice;
Appointments can take place in our fantastic clinic space, at client’s homes, schools and via telehealth - administer assessments, providing direct and indirect intervention, liaising with families, teachers, professionals and support staff;
Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team environment to deliver quality, evidence-based outcomes.
What do you need to join?
Tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline;
Passion for making a difference with a focus on making therapy fun, engaging and meaningful for families!
Exceptional communication skills that enable you to work in a culturally rich and diverse environment and collaborate in a multidisciplinary team environment;
Effective time management and attention to detail;
Experience in working with children and/or disability and confidence in your role with children and their parents;
Compliance – SPA Membership, Working with Children Check, National Police Check, NDIS workers screening check, Covid-19 Vaccination Certificate, First Aid Training, Driver’s License & Vehicle.
