The opportunity:

We are seeking a Speech Pathologist Team Leader to lead our talented team delivering services in our fantastic Epping, NSW clinic. Our Speech Pathologists support clients in all areas of communication including reading, writing, speech, language, signs, symbols and gestures, eating and swallowing.

What will you be doing:

Reporting to the Practice Principal you will manage a team of Speech Pathologists within a multidisciplinary team. You will retain a small mixed caseload of your own to ensure currency in clinical skills and profession. You will also take an active role in supporting the Practice Principal to develop and improve the scope and quality of therapy services and play an important role in client engagement..

In this role you will:

  • Complete clinical duties including assessments, develop tailored therapy programs and provide direct and indirect therapy interventions
  • Work closely with key stakeholders providing information, education and support
  • Have direct line management responsibility for a team of Speech Therapists
  • Provide clinical supervision to team members and run group supervision and discipline specific meetings
  • Engage in national professional development opportunities
  • Assist staff with case management, time management and workload organisation
  • Work with your team on development of clinic resources
  • Be involved in client and community engagement activities

What you need to join:

  • Compliance – National Police Check, Working with Children check, NDIS Workers Screening check, Covid-19 Vaccination Certificate, First Aid Certificate, Driver’s License & Vehicle.
  • Relevant qualifications and SPA Membership
  • Experience working with children and/or disability and confidence in your role with children and their parents.
  • Diverse communication skills, effective time management and attention to detail
  • Demonstrated leadership abilities within a team
  • People and service management experience (desirable)
