Assure Programs, part of the global APM Group, is one of Australia’s leading mental health and Employee Assistance Program (EAP) providers, and we are searching for our next Sydney based clinical State Manager for NSW and the ACT. 

This is an exciting opportunity for someone with a strong background in delivering psychological interventions, facilitation, and coaching. 

An experienced people manager, you will have a proven track record understanding commercial drivers of a business and transforming this into success.  You will be a confident collaborator, capable of implementing growth and change within the executive leadership team.

About You:

This is a role perfect for a passionate, motivated and commercially savvy leader.  Working in the mental health space can be tough, but so worthwhile.  It’s fast paced, has competing demands but it is exciting and challenging.

We have a vibrant and enthusiastic team, and it’s vital you demonstrate a commitment to the mental health of individuals and organisations, and will lead your team with integrity, empathy, and the pursuit of excellence.

The role comprises of business management as well as a level of operational delivery.  As with staff, we want our leaders to work to their strengths and therefore, CIMS, Manager Support, and/or facilitation are options to deliver.  In addition, building external relationships and credibility is also a key requirement and you will have the support of our business development team to partner with.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Recruitment and retention of internal salaried clinicians to meet business demands
  • Working with the business to manage the state's productivity and revenue growth
  • Supporting the team and providing direction and feedback as required
  • Focused on the achievement of positive customer outcomes
  • Meeting and exceeding defined team targets to support strategic business initiatives
  • Able to facilitate training and coaching sessions with executive levels
  • Demonstration of delivery of mental health services including Counselling, Critical Incident Management and Manager Support
  • Commitment to provide sound clinical advice to internal and external stakeholders

Minimum requirements:

  • Psychologist with general AHPRA registration
  • Demonstrated experience leading and managing multiple mental health professionals
  • Understanding of, or experience in workplace health and well-being (specifically EAP)
  • Willingness to complete a national criminal history check
  • A current driver’s licence and a comprehensively insured vehicle
