About the role:

The Threat Intelligence Analyst position will see you working in collaboration with the IT Department and Security Vendors to select, implement & operate technical controls to meet specific security requirements and define processes & standards to ensure that security configurations are maintained. This role would suit a self-motivated individual who is strongly outcome-driven and has a productive work ethic. Your highly developed communication, organisational, influencing, and interpersonal skills will allow you to successfully perform the function of the Information Technology Security Advisor (ITSA) role for the Asia Pacific region.


Your responsibilities:

  • Manage and maintain APM’s security infrastructure and 3rd Party services
  • Works with IT and members of the information security team to identify, select and implement technical controls
  • Create security processes and procedures and supports service-level agreements (SLAs) to ensure that security controls are managed and maintained
  • Creation of information security operations documentation
  • Auditing of access privileges to APM systems, networks and applications and recommend modifications to access privileges to facilitate timely and appropriate access to business-related systems
  • Technical approval and actioning of security service requests
  • Develop security metrics and reporting for stakeholders and identify any key improvements to the company’s security posture
  • Threat response (planning, containment, eradication, recovery)
  • Threat hunting (intelligence gathering, mission-based hunting, anomaly-based forensics)
  • Develop the Threat Intelligence capability for the region
  • Build relationship with government, regulators and peer companies for security information sharing across the region
  • Coordinate major incident response activity
  • Cyber risk management - Risk assessments and risk register activities, Treatment actions and planning, Exception management, Security awareness and training and Third party risk management
  • Work to continually improve organisational systems and processes to maximise employee efficiency, effectiveness and productivity to deliver quality outcomes


About you:

  • 3+ Years of experience in a similar role or equivalent environment
  • Industry recognised Information Security certifications such as CISA/M, CISSP, SABSA or equivalent
  • Solid domain experience from an Information Security standpoint
  • Consulting experience preferred
  • Risk Management experience, coupled with sound understanding of the latest threats and threat modelling
  • Cloud security experience preferred
  • Highly developed communication, organisational, influencing and interpersonal skills
