Acting Team Manager (Secondment)

We are currently seeking expressions of interest for an Acting Team Manager to be located in Southern Queensland. This is an exciting opportunity for anyone currently working at a Senior/Lead Consultant level within the APM Group. This is the perfect opportunity to take the next step in your career. This role will include:

  • Leading a team of Rehabilitation Consultants in Southern Queensland as well as on-base ADF consultants and DVA Rehabilitation Consultants
  • Support, guide and oversee clinical and quality governance and achievement of KPIs against customer SLAs and the ADFRP
  • Strategic case reviews, file reviews/audits and QA of reports
  • Develop relations and provide regular liaison with key customer stakeholders, including the RCM/RRM within the ADF and DVA
  • Provision of backfill support and overflow case management activities as required
  • Achieving business, human capital and financial goals for the team

There are two roles that have arisen due to Parental Leave. Each role will enable you to consider travel and location requirements so that you can manage your best work life balance.

Role 1: Support Team Members across Amberley (Ipswich) & Enoggera (Brisbane) ADF bases. In this hybrid role, you will combine weekly visits to these bases combined with working from our Acumen office in Spring Hill and some WFH. Eight months secondment commencing May 2025.

Role 2: Support Team Members across Oakey and Cabarlah (Toowoomba) ADF Bases. In this hybrid role, you will combine monthly visits to these bases combined with working from our Acumen office in Toowoomba or Spring Hill along with some WFH. 12 month secondment commencing July 2025.

Some of the key requirements desired are:

  • Existing knowledge of the ADFRP and DVA
  • Approximately 5 years relevant occupational rehabilitation experience
  • Qualifications in OT, Physiotherapy, Psychology, Exercise Physiology, Osteopathy, Nursing, Rehabilitation Counselling or Social Work.
  • Excellent stakeholder management, communication and negotiation skills
  • Some experience in managing people or the demonstrable ability to lead teams
  • Ability to train and develop staff
