About the role
Apply your clinical reasoning skills to support ADF personnel who have sustained a physical and/or psychological injury. Taking a holistic care approach, work within a multidisciplinary care team to support your client’s journey from rehab to recovery:
Collaborate with a variety of stakeholders including the employee who has suffered injury, illness, or trauma,; medical specialists, other treatment providers and allied health professionals
Perform a variety of assessments depending on your area of clinical expertise. This could include functional capacity evaluations, worksite, ergonomic or activities of daily living assessments
Develop, implement and monitor rehabilitation and return to wellness plans
About Kapooka Health Centre
Kapooka Health Centre is located on Blamey Barracks, 11kms outside of Wagga Wagga and 243kms from Canberra
The Health Centre provides general medicine, physiotherapy, and mental health services to defence personnel
Standard operating hours are Monday to Friday 07:30 to 15:30, depending on role requirements
About you
We’re looking for new and experienced Rehabilitation Consultants who want to combine a new adventure with a unique purpose—to support those men and women who have given tirelessly to us and our country. You will have the following:
Tertiary qualifications in Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy, Exercise Physiology, Psychology, Rehabilitation Counselling, Nursing, Osteopathy or Social Work
Current unrestricted registration or membership with relevant industry bodies (AHPRA, ESSA, ASORC/RCAA or AASW)
Strong clinical reasoning
Ability to engage across multidisciplinary teams to support the achievement of a common goal
