This is a casual position offering up-to 15 hours per week. Of course, this can vary from week to week and in time may lead to additional hours.

The opportunity:
Working with our Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) therapy team you will use a therapeutic approach used to help individuals with autism and other developmental disorders improve various behaviours, skills, and quality of life.
ABA therapy focuses on understanding behaviours and teaching new skills by using principles of reinforcement, such as rewarding positive actions, visual supports, prompts and prompt fading, and scaffolded learning.
Therapists design personalised treatment plans based on each individual's needs, goals, and challenges, which can include improving social skills, communication, academic skills, and adaptive behaviours like self-care and attention. ABA therapy is highly structured, involving one-on-one sessions where skills are broken down into small, manageable steps, making it easier for individuals to learn and retain new skills.
What do you need to join?
Passion for making a difference in the lives of children and their families!
No qualification is required, however experience with children and families with additional needs (including lived experience), is essential.
Working towards a relevant Allied Health qualification.
Knowledge of the NDIS is highly desirable.
Strong communication and organisational skills.
Ability to work within a multi-disciplinary team and ability to work autonomously in the community once you are developed in the role.
Compliance – Working with Children Check, National Police Check, NDIS workers screening check, Covid-19 Vaccination Certificate and First Aid certificate.
