Am I suited to being an Employability Skills Facilitator with APM’s Collingwood, VIC office?
This could be a great fit for someone looking for flexibility. This is a part time role working 20 hours a week. Ideally you will be working Monday, Tuesday and half day Wednesday.
We welcome those from various backgrounds, including previous exposure to Training, Careers Counselling, Community Services or Employment Services. You love working in a collaborative environment where you are driving the success of a new program. What is important is that you are passionate, upbeat and engaging and love to mentor. You are looking for a role where you can make an impact and genuinely help people on their path to finding employment.
The aim of the program is to help them become more competitive in their local labour market. But that’s not it, we lift people up, supporting them in employment, independence and improved wellbeing.
What you will be doing:
As an Employability Skills Facilitator, you will be delivering an engaging and 3-week program. You will be guiding our jobseekers through developing their CV, how to approach interviews and self-market and communicate with employers.
The aim of the program is to help them become more competitive in their local labour market. But that’s not it, we lift people up, supporting them in employment, independence and improved wellbeing.
Manage engaging group training sessions to jobseekers, both online and face to face
Supporting and guiding participants identify their skills, abilities and secure employment
Developing career development plans for our participants
Organising, planning, implementing and facilitating training programs for our participants
Building relationships with local employers and community organisations
Booking in Industry guest speakers to share their knowledge with Participants
Travelling to deliver Training around the local Region from time to time
To be considered, you will have...
Eligibility to work in Australia
A current driver’s licence and a comprehensively insured vehicle
Willing to complete a Criminal History Check
Able to pass a Working with Children Check
Certificate IV Training and Assessment (desirable)
RSA certificate (desirable)
