As the Leasing Manager based in our head office in West Perth you will be responsible for managing a region within APM Groups Property Portfolio.
This role plays a key part in providing internal support and expert advice to the General Manager – Property on property and leasing related matters.
In this role you will
Identify and negotiate new leasing opportunities for APM Group of brands
Negotiate lease renewals direct with landlords, agents and third-party representation
Proactively manage all leasing activities including lease restructures, new leases and renewals where appropriate
Coordinate and schedule lease applications
Execute new lease agreements and coordinating move-in processes
Develop, implement and review APM’s long term Property Strategy in conjunction with the General Manager – Property
Develop and manage annual budgets by forecasting requirements and analysing variances, data and trends
Develop and manage leasing feasibility models and market analysis
Liaise with and ensure Landlords and Property Management companies comply with all lease obligations
Develop and maintain relationships with current and future commercial landlords
Skills you’ll bring
Proven work experience in managing leases in either the commercial or retail sector
A thorough understanding of property legislations and regulations
Understanding of organisational property leasing strategy and execution including relocations, amalgamations and fit-outs
Strong negotiation skills with excellent interpersonal and communications skills
Extensive experience in interpreting and understanding legal documents such as contracts, leases, licences and land title details
Well organised with excellent time management skills
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and property management software
Degree in Property Management or related field will be highly regarded
