The Role
The Modern Workplace Engineer based in either West Perth or Melbourne and reporting to the Head of Digital Operations, plays a pivotal role in providing technical expertise and support to ensure the efficient operation of APM Group's end user environments. The role is responsible for resolving technical incidents, managing tasks, and maintaining a high level of end-user satisfaction.
In this role you will:
Manage, coordinate, and prioritise tasks to resolve technical incidents promptly.
Act as an escalation point from the service desk, performing complex troubleshooting and fulfilling requests requiring in-depth attention.
Support software, application and firmware compliance, deployments and upgrades
Develop and implement new and improved processes in support of the EUC Environment
Ensure all Incidents, Problems, Service and Change Requests are accurately captured in the APM Ticketing System and kept up to date with frequent updates
Collaborate with infrastructure, capacity managers, and availability managers to diagnose and resolve technical issues.
Create, update and validate Knowledge Articles, maintain design and operational support documentation as required.
Escalate repeat issues to the Modern Workplace Lead, incident/problem manager, and software developers as needed.
Skills you’ll bring
Minimum of 3 years of experience in a Modern Workplace specialist role
Experience in desktop EUC environments using leading methodologies and processes.
Extensive experience with Microsoft Intune, Autopilot, MECM, and modern workplace tools.
Proficiency in Windows 10 & 11, Microsoft Office 365, Azure AD, and related technologies.
Certification in relevant Microsoft and ITIL certifications (e.g., AZ-104, MD-102, MS-700, ITIL v4 Foundations).
Ability to engage and respond to multiple stakeholders including users, senior management, IT teams, project teams, vendors
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Exceptional customer service orientation.
Ability to work autonomously with excellent time management
