APM’s leaders share their thoughts on what this year will bring

As a global health and human services business, APM has been enabling people to live better lives for over 28 years.

Each new year can be a new opportunity, and as we’ve learned in the recent past they can also bring unforeseen challenges.

The world is now different what we once knew.

We’ve asked some of APM’s leaders for their thoughts and insights into what they envisage 2023 may have in store.

Growth in the healthcare sector

Emily Glenn, APM General Manager, Operational Excellence

It is a very exciting time to work in the healthcare sector.

The global COVID-19 pandemic really shone a light on the health profession as a whole.

As a result we will see rapid advances in technology, the implementation of news ways of working and improved tools to help us deliver services to our clients.

Health professionals can also expect a greater focus on their wellbeing at work, with employers invested in bolstering health workforces to meet the demand for services.

Driven by customer focus

Barry Weinman, CEO, MyIntegra

For the team at MyIntegra, part of the APM Group, 2023 is all about our customers and our people.

MyIntegra supports Australians and their families living with disability through NDIS plan management and support coordination, and to reach our full potential, we need to have delighted customers.

To do this, we need to have delighted staff who strive to deliver a great experience for our customers.

The MyIntegra team is working tirelessly to improve our systems and processes, so that in 2023 and beyond, we can deliver on our promise to both APM and the wider community. I look forward to seeing what this year will bring.

Strengthened community bonds

Hayley Jones, National Manager, Business Development, APM New Zealand

It’s a real privilege to be part of a team that is committed to making a positive impact on people’s lives in New Zealand and around the world, through the wider APM business.

We worked hard to continue delivering for our allied health patients and job seekers during the pandemic.

As we move into 2023, our clients can be assured that the APM team have been continually improving their skills and knowledge so we can strengthen the offering we provide.

This year brings the opportunity to help more clients and to keep challenging ourselves, to deliver our services in new and innovative ways.

Momentum in the digital age

Nina Du Thaler, Chief Information Officer, APM Group

I think we will continue to see artificial intelligence grow and mature.

We need to better understand how we will use it effectively in business and the ethical controls we need to put around this. Will we ever see humans reporting to robots?

I hope we start to see the return of ‘community’ rather than individualisation, and I certainly hope we don’t see any more waves of the pandemic.

APM will continue to grow our IT service delivery though responsiveness, repeatability, transparency.

We’ll develop our Global Digital Strategy and implement a new operating model and ways of working. It’s an exciting time to be part of the digital space.

Greater opportunities for grads

Simon Gibson, APM Graduate Program Manager

2023 will bring opportunities. It’s a year of hope, growth and positive changes on both a professional and personal level.

It’s also a very exciting time for the APM Group as we continue to engage with university students across the country in fun and innovative ways.

Our graduate program offers a fantastic opportunity to gain experience across a variety of sectors, and I look forward to what our grads can offer APM throughout the course of the year.
