APM offers diverse career pathways across our growing business
Jordan Daniels joined APM in 2021, heading to Australia from New Zealand as soon as the borders re-opened following COVID-19 pandemic closures. He joined his extended family from South Africa, who were now based in Perth.
Jordan took on the role of Client Services Officer in APM’s Customer Service Centre, supporting job seekers with appointments for interviews and helping to keep them motivated. He enjoyed the role and the connections he was making with those coming to APM to create a better quality of life for themselves.
Jordan then moved into a role in the Customer Service team that supports Konekt – one of Australia’s leading workplace rehabilitation and healthcare solutions providers and part of the APM Group.
“There was a lot to learn in my new role and I was supported by my leaders and colleagues in finding my way around a new world of medical terminology.
I also discovered more about Australia, its people and geographies. It’s a big place and I now know how important it is to tailor my approach to conversation depending on where someone is from!”
Enabling our people to grow
Always up for a new challenge, Jordan has now become a Business Analyst for APM – a change enabled by Michael McBride, General Manager of APM’s Customer Service Centre.
“I completed my business degree and had a chat with Michael about my future ambitions. Michael is known for his belief in our people and an understanding of where they might want to head in the future.
APM is a growing company, with a huge amount of opportunity, and Michael supports his team to progress and build a career within the Group.”
Jordan often uses his experience in the Customer Service Centre to help his new team anticipate the challenges our colleagues working directly with clients may face, and has a good understanding of the client perspective as well.
“It’s been a privilege to work across a number of areas at APM – as someone that’s worked to enable better lives, and now being able to support our teams on the frontline in their efforts to make a difference.”
Paving the way to the future
Jordan isn’t one to sit still and his next goal is to become a Chartered Accountant.
“I’m keen to push my own boundaries and continue learning. APM is a growing global organisation, and I know that by upskilling I’ll be able to take advantage of the many opportunities that we have available all over the world.”
