Creating opportunities that lead to a long-term career at APM

Marc joined APM’s Customer Service Centre in early 2022, working as an analyst on a project to improve operational efficiencies. A team of 120, we like to think of our Customer Service Centre as the ‘face of APM’, as it’s often the first point of call for many of our clients across the employment services, vocational rehabilitation and aged care sectors, booking appointments or assessments with an APM brand or business.

With a background in telecommunications and as an IT engineer, Marc had worked with Michael McBride, General Manager of APM’s Customer Service Centre, who thought he’d be a great fit for APM and brought him onboard.

“When the project I was working on wrapped up, I was fortunate that Michael had trust in my ability to transfer my skills to another area of APM, and encouraged me to seek a role in the Digital and Technology team.”

Now as a Project Engineer, Marc coordinates larger scale information technology needs across the business. While not on the frontline directly working with our clients, Marc is able to clearly see the impact of the improvements he’s responsible for, and the role they play in achieving APM’s purpose of enabling better lives.

“We work hard to ensure the best outcome for our people on the frontline by addressing their needs in the digital and technology space, often helping them to navigate an unfamiliar area, so that in turn they can deliver the best service possible to our clients.

“I’m grateful for the opportunity to build and grow my career at APM – I’ve come across some of the best technological minds here, and they’re really keen to share their knowledge so that we can enable our people to focus on creating a better quality of life for our clients. I’m pleased to be working with a business that attracts the best.”
