The chance to lead the way with APM

Ahmed Abdalla has been in the employment services industry for over 20 years and joined APM almost three years ago. He now leads a team of nine employment  consultants across two sites delivering the Workforce Australia Program, supporting people to find sustainable employment. 

Going above and beyond at APM

Putting newfound knowledge into practice 

With his own determination and the support of the team at MCI, Ahmed completed his Diploma in just eighteen months (it usually takes two years). 

The nationally recognised qualification focuses on building leadership skills and abilities, along with practical training and techniques that can be applied in the workplace, including quality customer service, emotional intelligence and communicating with influence. 

Ahmed believes that his work to achieve these qualifications has helped him to build a stronger team.

“What really sets the programs apart is the hands-on experience they provide. The students are immersed in a simulated business, giving us the opportunity to put our newfound knowledge into practice and build confidence in our own abilities.”

Thanks to his hard work and commitment to building his leadership skills, Ahmed is also now looking forward to taking on a new opportunity as an acting Regional Manager. 

“I’m excited for this new challenge and feel very fortunate to have been given the chance to grow my skills and explore my career pathway at APM.”
