About the role

Lifecare Northern Sports Physiotherapy Clinic is recruiting a Physiotherapist to work within a busy well established clinic in St Leonards. We are located perfectly between the many medical specialists near the Royal North Shore Hospital and the rapidly transforming St Leonards South precinct. This role is ideally part time approx 32 hours per week but could extend to full time for the ideal candidate. Both new graduates and experienced candidates welcome to apply.

You will be providing high-quality treatment to our patients to ensure the provision of optimal health outcomes. You will work across a variety of case presentations and clients in our private practice. We value holistic, patient centred care whilst supporting our practitioners with both internal and external professional development opportunities and a comprehensive Graduate Training Program if required.

In this role you will be...

  • Assessing and diagnosing a variety of acute musculoskeletal and sporting injuries
  • Providing post operative rehab programs for common orthopaedic surgeries
  • Confident in leading small group clinical exercise classes that are either gym or Pilates based
  • Drawing on your clinical knowledge to create and implement appropriate treatment plans
  • Providing the appropriate manual therapy, exercise prescription, education and other modalities as per your treatment plan
  • SIRA registered and able to provide treatments to facilitate injured workers to return to their pre injury duties 
  • Engaging with doctors, specialists and other allied health providers to help provide holistic care to patients
  • Writing reports such as initial reports, progress and final reports or treatment management plans to update referrers

  • Experience or interest in Musculoskeletal and/or Sports Physiotherapy
  • Professional registration with AHPRA
  • Current professional indemnity insurance
  • Valid Working with Children Check
  • Willing to undergo a National Criminal History check upon successful application
  • Undergraduate or Masters Degree in Physiotherapy
