About the Role...
The Self Employment Assistance program is an innovative program funded by the Department of Small Jobs & Business and supports participants with getting their own business up and running. It provides participants with valuable knowledge and guidance, Certificate in New Small Business Management as well as ongoing mentoring and support.
As the Self Employment Assistance Consultant / Trainer, you will support participants delivering a comprehensive training and mentoring program.
This opportunity is on a part time basis for a period of 6 months.
Key Responsibilities:
Consult and assess applicants to determine their suitability for the program
Assist participants to develop a detailed business plan to Government and APM standards
Provide personalised coaching, motivation and guidance to participants
Facilitate the program in accordance with accreditation standards and contractual obligations
Delivery of online workshops to our participants nationally.
Implement marketing and Networking strategies to engage with potential participants
Providing 1on1 support and guidance to assist participants towards successful completion of their chosen qualification.
Provide feedback to participants and/or managing consultants as required for the purpose of amending and/or correcting any work deemed not yet competent.
Facilitate and make judgement on observation assessments.
Complete all relevant documentation and administration including student enrolments.
Accurately track participant progress and provide any additional assistance required to assist participant be on-track to successful completion within the required timeframe.
Participate in validation, moderation and contextualisation meetings as required.
Assist in the assessment process as required.
Complete a range of duties for the effective functioning of the service including maintaining accurate client files and file notes, maintain information on electronic systems, and conducting student audits.
To be considered, you will have...
Eligibility to work in Australia
Current TAE40116 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment or Higher.
A current driver’s licence and a comprehensively insured vehicle
A MyGovID (Standard level)
Willing to complete a National Police Check
Able to pass a Working with Children Check
Available to work part time 3 days between Monday to Thursday8:30am - 5:00pm
Key Skills:
Vocational skills and competency in small business, leadership, self-management, financial skills, WHS.
Experience in facilitating large groups in an online environment.
Strong organisational, interpersonal and communication skills.
Highly motivated and able to work autonomously, but as an integral member of a professional team. An ability to work to set timeframes and deadlines.
Good computer skills across the main applications (Teams, word, excel, email) and experience with online Learning Management Systems.
Proven track record in achieving results and KPI’s.
Highly developed interpersonal skills with experience developing and maintaining client relationships
Ability to operate within a compliance framework including maintaining attention to detail.
Experience in Employment Services or clearly demonstrated transferable skills.
Eligible to meet legislative requirements for clearance to work in the Employment Services programs.
