About the role

APM is looking for a qualified WH&S Advisor to complement our existing team, with a focus on our growing allied health and NDIS businesses.  Reporting to the Risk, Safety & Environment Manager you will be a trusted advisor to the wider APM group and will have the ability to build and maintain both strategic and credible relationships across the businesses.

You will join a team where you will be working alongside an exceptional group of individuals who are dedicated to delivering great work and creating a culture of support, learning and inclusivity.

This role can be based from several locations including - VIC - NSW - TAS - SA – QLD – WA

What you will do

  • Actively assist stakeholders with the review and implementation of the Work Health and Safety Management System
  • Compiling required safety reports for APM leaders
  • Overall WHS compliance and continuous improvement
  • Use your influencing skills to drive a positive health and safety culture
  • Provide specialist WHS advice and support to APM Leaders and employees to ensure:
    • the identification, assessment and control of hazards
    • investigation and review of incidents and injuries
    • ongoing consultation, coordination and collaboration with and between stakeholders

What you will bring

We are looking for someone with the ability to communicate and influence across a range of different forums in our business.

You will be quick to adapt to a fast-paced environment and have a flexible approach to work across all levels of the business. Your ability to collaboratively consultant and support with all stakeholders will be critical along with:

  • Tertiary qualifications (AHP) such as Occupational Therapist with WHS (Cert IV, or Diploma)
  • Significant experience in Work Health and Safety associated with the delivery of human services (employment services, allied health, disability, or equivalent)
  • Proven experience in building proactive safety culture.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with various stakeholders and influence safe work practices.
  • Excellent working knowledge of MS office including accurate data entry skills.
