Enabling belonging and connection
APM is proud to celebrate equity, diversity and inclusion for our team members, customers, and communities around the world.
We love the fact that we are all different and we’ve worked hard to create a place you can belong and feel accepted, where you can bring your true self to work, and are empowered to do your best work.
To support our efforts and provide an important first-hand perspective, our people can get involved in our Employee Communities to actively engage with our people and across the business.
Our Communities focus on disability, LBGTQIA+ and First Nations communities and are led by employee volunteers to drive key actions and initiatives that raise awareness and deliver outcomes that shape our business.
All APMers are invited to join an Employee Community – from those with first-hand experience, to allies and supporters – everyone is welcome!
Here’s a snapshot of the Pride Network
The Pride Network seeks to create and maintain a safe, inclusive and equitable environment for LGBTIQA+ identifying employees, clients and visitors to APM.
The goal is to empower and motivate our people by supporting them so they are able to bring their authentic self to work.
Led by Jen Chen, APM Legal Counsel, and Executive Sponsor, Matthew Flood, APM General Counsel, the Pride Network works to increase awareness of LGBTIQA+ issues through education, support network and community events, as well as connect with fellow LGBTIQA+ employees to address new concerns or issues relating to LGBTIQA+ matters in the workplace.
The network is also committed to supporting our people with the appropriate resources to offer inclusive services and is creating a Best Practice Guide so our people have a better understanding of how to support their LGBTIQA+ identifying clients. Training is also underway to enhance this awareness.
We’re hoping to have a bigger and better APM presence at LGBTIQA+ festivals and events – so keep an eye out for us!
Our Pride Network is proud to play a role in making APM a great place to work for LGBTQIA+ employees, and to demonstrate to clients and those who use our services that everyone is welcome here.
