Rehabilitation Counsellor
APM Workcare understands that prevention and proactive management of injuries in the workplace is critically important and we work with employers and their people to minimise the personal and business impact of injuries, illness and disability through prevention, rehabilitation and training.
The role
Working full-time or part-time as a Rehabilitation Counsellor, you will be using your clinical expertise and skills to guide and manage your client’s journey as they return to life after physical or psychological injury. You will influence your clients to achieve the results that they’ve identified through a whole-of-person approach to rehabilitation.
In this role, you’ll be….
- Managing complex psychological cases and providing health coaching and support
- Performing one off vocational assessments both face to face and virtually across the country
- Supporting clients to achieve personal return to life goals
- Providing non-comp and claim related psychological and psychosocial support to large corporate and Govt customers
- Use award winning psychosocial risk tools to achieve great outcomes

What we are looking for:
- Hold a degree in Rehabilitation Counselling, Social Work, Provisional Psych or Psychology
- Be eligible for membership with ASORC, AASW or APHRA
- Experience working in Occupational Rehabilitation is highly desirable
- Pass a national criminal check, and working with children check prior to commencing employment
- Have full Australian working rights
- Hold a full drivers’ license, your own vehicle and comprehensive insurance
