Training Facilitator - Career Transition Assistance(CTA)

About the Role…  

As a Career Transition Assistance (CTA) Facilitator you will be assisting participants who are 45+ years of age supporting them back into work and guiding them through the process of taking on new career and new skills. You will deliver, facilitate and administer assessments, training, advice and ultimately helping them become more competitive in the local employment market.

Location: The role will be based at Warragal, VIC. This would also include travel within the Gippsland region to alternative sites - Morwell, Moe, Traralgon, Wonthaggi, and others to deliver training sessions.

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Consult & assess applicants to determine their suitability for the program.
  • Delivery the CTA program in a group training environment.
  • Develop skills of participants and assist them in obtaining sustainable and ongoing employment.
  • Build relationships with other jobactive providers promoting benefits of the program to engage with potential participants.
  • Developing key relationships internally and externally (e.g. Government departments, local industry bodies such as the Business Chamber, Employers).
  • Facilitate the CTA program in accordance with accreditation standards and contractual obligations.

Is it a good fit? 

Are you an experience trainer with Employment Services experience? You will witness firsthand the positive changes in our clients that stems from their participation in this program under your leadership and guidance. We are looking for;

  • A strong knowledge of the local labour market & ideally the Employment Services industry
  • Ability to build & maintain relevant stakeholder relationships, such as local industry bodies and employers
  • Experience in career development or career counselling would be advantageous
  • Experience in organising, planning, implementing and facilitating training programs
  • A proven track record in achieving results, KPI’s and delivering exceptional customer service
  • Ability to Influence, negotiate, and management time effectively
  • Valid Driver’s licence & ability to travel from time to time as needed

To be considered, you will have... 

  • Eligibility to work in Australia 
  • A current driver’s licence and a comprehensively insured vehicle 
  • A MyGovID (Standard level) 
  • Willing to complete a National Police Check 
  • Able to pass a Working with Children Check 
  • Available to work Part-Time Monday to Friday 8:30am - 5:00pm
