Allied Health Assistant

Early Start Australia is seeking a motivated and caring Allied Health Assistant to join our Hobart team on a casual basis. This role is perfect for someone who loves working with children, thrives in a supportive multidisciplinary environment, and is eager to make a real difference in the community.
As an Allied Health Assistant, you will work closely with our Therapists to plan, prepare and deliver therapy programs that help clients reach their individual goals. You’ll support day‑to‑day therapy activities, assist with session preparation, collect observations, and engage with families, carers and key stakeholders to ensure high‑quality, person‑centred care.

What you will be doing:
- Implement therapy activities under the guidance of qualified Therapists
- Prepare resources, materials and therapy spaces for individual and group sessions
- Observe and report on client progress, maintaining accurate case notes
- Support communication with families, carers, educators and health providers
- Participate in regular team meetings and contribute to a collaborative, client‑focused culture
- Uphold safety, confidentiality and quality standards in line with ESA policies
About you:
- Certificate III/IV in Allied Health Assistance, relevant experience, or current enrolment in an allied health degree is beneficial
- Experience working with children or individuals with additional needs is highly valued
- Strong communication, organisational and observational skills
- Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team and independently in community settings
- Current WWCC (or equivalent), NDIS Worker Screening, Police Check, First Aid Certificate, driver’s licence and access to a vehicle
