Application Support - Level 1

Join Early Start Australia as a Level 1 Applications Support Officer

Are you passionate about technology and helping others? Do you thrive in a fast-paced environment where your organisational skills and attention to detail make a real impact? Early Start Australia is looking for a proactive and customer-focused Level 1 Applications Support Officer to join our dynamic Applications Team.

This is your opportunity to be part of a national health services organisation that’s committed to making a difference in the lives of individuals and families across Australia.

About the Role

As a Level 1 Applications Support Officer, you’ll be the first point of contact for our staff when it comes to application-related issues. You’ll manage incoming support requests through our ticketing system, ensuring timely resolution and clear communication. Your work will directly support the smooth operation of our software systems, helping our teams deliver exceptional care and services.

You’ll work closely with internal stakeholders across ESA Operations and staff, as well as external software vendors, to troubleshoot issues, escalate when needed, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Support & Troubleshooting:
Provide high-quality, first-level support to end users, accurately log and categorise tickets, and escalate complex issues as needed.
  • Ticket Management:
Prioritise and assign tickets based on urgency and impact, ensuring SLA timeframes and communication standards are consistently met.
  • Process Improvement:
Identify recurring issues and create knowledgebase articles to empower users and reduce ticket volume.
  • Stakeholder Communication:
Deliver weekly status updates and maintain a 90% satisfaction rate for communication clarity and responsiveness.
  • Documentation & Quality:
Contribute to SOPs and ensure all documentation is accurate and comprehensive.
  • Workplace Health & Safety:
Follow WHS policies and report hazards or incidents promptly.
  • Cultural Competence:
Respect and integrate cultural awareness into your daily work practices.

What You’ll Bring

  • Qualifications in Business, Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Experience in a healthcare or health services environment is highly desirable.
  • Proficiency in ticketing systems (e.g., Jira, Zendesk, ServiceNow) and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong organisational and multitasking skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Analytical mindset with a focus on problem-solving.
  • ITIL or similar certifications are a plus.

Why Join Us?

At Early Start Australia, we’re more than just a workplace—we’re a community. You’ll be part of a supportive team that values innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement. We offer:

  • A flexible and inclusive work environment
  • Opportunities for professional development
  • A chance to make a meaningful impact in the health services sector
