Bid Writer
Role Overview
The Tender Writer is a core member of the ANZ Tender Team, responsible for producing high‑quality proposals for Assure’s EAP and workplace wellbeing services. The position reports to the ANZ Business Development Director and has a dotted‑line connection to the Mental Health and Wellbeing senior leadership team to ensure submissions accurately reflect Assure’s service capability, clinical excellence and customer value.
You will lead the development of compliant, persuasive and customer‑aligned tender responses using relevant bid library content and contemporary bid content generation methods, including appropriate use of AI in line with Assure and APM policies (for example, privacy, security and confidentiality requirements). The role works closely with clinical, operational, consulting and digital SMEs across Assure. You will also be supported by the broader tender team, including content development, coordination and quality assurance resources, as well as by senior leaders within Assure who provide strategic, operational and clinical insight.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyse tender documents to identify requirements, risks, evaluation criteria, differentiators and win themes.
- Prioritise and manage multiple tenders concurrently, maintaining quality standards and meeting tight deadlines.
- Develop clear, persuasive and outcomes‑focused proposals for EAP and workplace mental health services.
- Support Assure’s tender responses end‑to‑end, coordinating inputs and ensuring compliance, accuracy and alignment to customer needs.
- Engage with clinical, operational, consulting and digital SMEs to obtain high‑value content and verify service detail.
- Maintain and strengthen Assure’s bid content library, including case studies, methodologies, CVs and evidence‑based claims.
- Ensure all written content reflects Assure’s value proposition, tone of voice and strategic direction.
- Contribute to continuous improvement across bid planning, processes, templates and governance.
Qualifications and Experience
- Demonstrated experience in bid or proposal writing, ideally in EAP, psychology, human services or workplace mental health sectors.
- Clear, concise and structured writing skills, with the ability to communicate complex information simply and accurately.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with operational, clinical and leadership teams to produce high‑quality content.
- Strong planning and organisational skills, with experience delivering to tight timeframes.
- Knowledge of government and commercial procurement processes across Australia and New Zealand is advantageous.
