Junior Test Analyst

We are currently seeking an IT Junior Test Analyst to join our national Technology team on a full‑time basis. In this role, you will work closely with our product development team to ensure the quality and reliability of APM’s software products, reports, and applications. This is an excellent opportunity for someone early in their testing career who is passionate about quality, technology, and continuous improvement. West Perth, Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane locations)
In this role you will:
- Execute manual testing across a range of products, validating functionality against acceptance criteria
- Identify, document, and triage defects early, working closely with product owners and developers
- Maintain accurate and traceable test evidence for each PBI
- Validate data and reporting outputs against source systems or expected outcomes
- Support smooth User Acceptance Testing (UAT) by providing users with clear information and testing insights
- Contribute to testing release notes, including inclusions, links to builds, installation guides, and configuration changes
- Assist with deployments, upgrades, and production support activities
- Work to continually improve processes and systems to deliver quality outcomes for APM clients
Skills you’ll bring
Technical Skills:
- Exposure to manual testing concepts including test case development, defect lifecycle, and regression testing
- Ability to read or write basic SQL for data validation
- Experience working with PBIs and acceptance criteria in Azure DevOps (or similar platforms)
- Familiarity with automated testing tools or interests in learning automation
- Understanding of non-functional testing, including performance or security testing concepts
- Knowledge of SDLC methodologies and testing processes

- Strong attention to detail, with clear written communication and evidence capture
- Curious mindset — you ask great questions and enjoy following data to find root causes
- Passion for learning new technologies and staying up to date with industry trends
- Strong organisational and time‑management skills, with the ability to work autonomously
- Excellent communication skills and proven ability to work within a collaborative team
- Ability to understand customer requirements and translate them into quality‑focused testing outcomes
- Problem‑solving ability with a focus on continuous improvement
Experience (Highly Regarded):
- Agile development certifications or any testing‑related qualifications
- Exposure to automation frameworks
- Experience working in technology environments within health, employment, or community services sectors
