Network and Infrastructure Architect
As a Network and Infrastructure Architect, you will analyse current environments, define target architectures, and build transition roadmaps that guide APM toward a secure, scalable, and strategically aligned infrastructure landscape.
You will provide expert architectural guidance across network, cloud, and infrastructure domains; work closely with technology operations; lead governance around standards and patterns; and engage with strategic vendors to ensure best‑of‑breed solutions.
This role also contributes to capability uplift through mentoring engineers and supporting continuous improvement across the digital organisation.
What you’ll be doing
- Analyse and document current-state network and infrastructure architecture (on‑premises and cloud)
- Identify architectural gaps, risks, and improvement opportunities
- Define and maintain target‑state architectures and detailed transition roadmaps
- Drive alignment between digital transformation goals and infrastructure strategy
- Develop technology roadmaps that align with enterprise standards
- Lead governance processes to ensure compliance and architectural integrity
What you’ll bring
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in IT, Computer Science, or similar
- 8+ years’ experience in network and infrastructure architecture, with at least 3 years in a senior role
- Strong expertise across network design, infrastructure platforms, and Azure cloud architecture
- Experience working with multi‑cloud environments
- Proven ability to create and govern architectural principles, standards, and frameworks
- Experience working in a matrix organisation delivering architecture outcomes
- Strong stakeholder and vendor management experience
- Clear, confident communication skills, including executive‑level presentation
