Junior Data Engineer – APM | Perth Based

Are you ready to kickstart your data engineering career with a purpose-driven organisation? APM is seeking a curious and motivated Junior Data Engineer to join our growing Data & Analytics team in Perth.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with foundational experience in data engineering who is eager to learn, grow, and make a real impact. You’ll work closely with our Data Architect and collaborate across teams to support data-driven decision-making throughout the business.

What you’ll be doing:

• Assisting in the development and maintenance of scalable data pipelines and ETL processes.
• Supporting data integration from APIs, databases, and third-party platforms.
• Ensuring data quality and reliability through validation, testing, and documentation.
• Helping maintain data warehouse environments and Power BI reports.
• Troubleshooting data issues and providing support to technical and product teams.
• Collaborating with stakeholders to understand data needs and deliver actionable insights.

What we’re looking for:

• Tertiary qualifications in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
• 0–2 years’ experience in data engineering or a similar role.
• Basic proficiency in SQL and Python (or other scripting languages).
• Familiarity with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or GCP is a plus.
• Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and a collaborative mindset.
• Exposure to Microsoft platforms (Power BI, Azure Data Factory, Databricks) is highly desirable.
