RAC Funding Assessor
Working as part of a team across the region of Yorke, Lower North & Barossa SA, you will enjoy autonomy in carrying out your work, traveling to aged care homes to conduct Residential Aged Care Funding Assessments using the AN-ACC tool.
This is a part-time opportunity working 2 days per week.
While direct care isn't part of the day-to-day work, you will use your expert clinical skills and knowledge to conduct interviews with residents and staff and review health records to inform the AN-ACC assessment. The assessments are based on the triangulation of data, using desktop review of existing documentation, observations and conversations with Residents and care providers. The focus of the assessments is to gather information for classifications that will determine funding levels.
This position requires locum travel across the designated region to undertake assessments and provide support to other regions if/as needed.

What you bring:
- 5+ years’ post registration clinical experience across aged care sector
- Relevant Tertiary qualifications in Nursing, Physiotherapy or Occupational Therapy
- Current unrestricted General Registration with the Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
- Demonstrated Australian aged care experience, including working with people with dementia
- Demonstrated experience conducting clinical assessments using a range of assessment tools
- Proven ability to engage older Australians and stakeholders in residential facilities
- Ability to follow direction, work independently and as part of a team
- High degree of self-motivation
- Ability to locum travel across the designated region to undertake assessments and provide support to other regions if/as needed.
- Strong planning and organisational skills
- Excellent communication skills, with a variety of stakeholders including consumers, families, and managers
- Your own vehicle with comprehensive insurance as travel will be required within your region.

- Must be an Australian Citizen or Permanent Resident. Due to contractual obligations with the Department of Health, Visa holders cannot be accepted.
