Rehabilitation Consultant Assistant

Are you an allied health student eager to gain hands-on experience in occupational rehabilitation? Konekt is currently hiring a Rehabilitation Consultant Assistant for an immediate start. Based in the Renmark office, this entry-level opportunity is perfect for students studying:

  • Occupational Therapy
  • Physiotherapy
  • Exercise Physiology

Initially offered as a casual position, this role has the potential to transition into a permanent part-time opportunity for the right candidate and permanent full-time position once qualified. Role purpose:

Rehabilitation Consultant Assistants provide case management support to an allocated team of Rehabilitation Consultants to support timely service provision and the shorter return to work outcomes for our clients.

General responsibilities will include:

  • Pre employment medical completion
  • Assisting information gathering for drafting of Initial assessment reports
  • Assisting information gathering for drafting of Progress reports and RTW plans
  • Collating and distributing mail, email and questionnaires to treating health practitioners
  • Arranging and booking of consultant assessments
  • Following up with stakeholders to obtain documentation required by the consultant, medical questionnaires, Treating Party reports
  • Ensuring up to date medical certificates are recorded on file and the details are entered into system
  • Assisting consultants to meet regulatory requirements for case management – e.g. identifying priorities and uploading documentation
  • Assisting with drafting Return to Work Plan amendments
  • Sourcing equipment and services following ADL’s

Capabilities and preferred experience:

  • Currently enrolled and studying for an Allied Health Degree in Physiotherapy, Occupational Therapy or Exercise Physiology.
  • Current Senior First Aid certification or willingness to enrol in same.
  • Current student membership of the relevant Allied Health organisation (AHPRA / ESSA).
  • Ability to work unsupervised and autonomously where regulatory requirements allow.
  • Strong organisation skills and ability to prioritise key responsibilities.
  • Strong attention to detail with a result focused approach.
  • Excellent communication skills (written & oral) when liaising with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills, with a flexible approach.
  • Ability to follow administration procedures with accuracy and efficiency.
  • Willingness to participate in team and workplace activities.
  • Police clearance check.
  • Driver’s licence and vehicle.
