Company Description

We’re a diverse team of over 13,000 people across 11 countries with a shared purpose - to Enable Better Lives. Our purpose is the common thread that lives in everything we do, and it starts with enabling better lives for our employees and their families too.

Our work enables the people we serve to realise their ambitions and aspirations through sustainable employment, independence, better health and wellbeing, and increased social participation.

When you join APM, there’s an opportunity to grow your career in Human Services, across multiple global brands and geographies. You can expect a great work-life balance, extensive learning opportunities, networking programs and employee benefits. But most of all you can expect to make a lasting impact on the lives of others, who rely on our services.

At APM we are strengthened by diversity. We are committed to providing a work environment in which everyone is included, treated fairly and with respect. We encourage applications from people of all ages, nationalities, abilities and cultures including indigenous peoples, the LGBTQI+ community and people with a disability.

The role

APM Workcare recognise the importance of early intervention and proactive injury management in the workplace. Our role is to collaborate closely with employers and employees to facilitate safe and sustainable return-to-work outcomes. Through tailored rehabilitation plans, workplace assessments, and ongoing support, we help minimise the impact of injury, illness, or disability—empowering individuals to regain independence and productivity while supporting business continuity.

As a full-time or part-time Rehabilitation Consultant - Occupational Therapist, you will leverage your clinical expertise to support and guide your clients on their journey back to work and life after physical or psychological injury. You will play a key role in helping clients achieve their rehabilitation goals through a holistic approach.

In this role, you will:

  • Gain a detailed understanding of your clients’ injury history through initial needs assessments
  • Conduct worksite assessments to understand what duties your client can complete to help them achieve their short-term and long-term return-to-work goals
  • Collaborate with other health practitioners through case conferencing to facilitate rehabilitation and recovery needs
  • Facilitate a progressive return-to-work through tailored planning

 What’s in it for you?

Enjoy the flexibility and autonomy to set your own hours and work location, managing your own schedule. Focus on achieving effective client outcomes through various means such as teleconferences, employer visits, worksite meetings, and client consultations.

Join a supportive team environment where you will receive individualised in-house training and development to help you meet realistic daily targets. Benefit from a culture driven by motivation and a commitment to client goals.

Additional perks include access to company cars for travel, an incentive scheme, a laptop, a mobile phone, the option to purchase additional leave and salary sacrificing opportunities.

What we are looking for:

  • Current and Full Registration with AHPRA
  • Ideally, 12 months + experience working in a similar position or 2 + years minimum experience working in a clinical environment as an Occupational Therapist.
  • Strong client focus and the ability to build relationships with diverse individuals.
  • A current or the ability to obtain a Working with Children Check.
  • Full driver’s licence and access to a vehicle
