We are looking for passionate graduates, who want to make a real difference in the lives of those they treat, to join our two-year Graduate Program.
You’ll work with a team of dedicated allied health professionals, supporting your clients on their journey to return to work and return to life after physical or psychological injury.
Everyday can look different at APM .. but as a Graduate Rehabilitation Counsellor, you will be:
- Providing initial assessment, psychometric testing and brief interventions for job seekers who have psychosocial and mental health barriers to obtaining or sustaining employment
- Performing new employment vocational assessments, transferable skills analysis, recovery support
- Conducting initial assessments with injured workers and case management for return to same employment
- Assessing and reporting on psychological functional capacities/complete psychological functional assessments
- Assessing and making recommendations on effects of mental health and medical conditions on ability to work
- Writing detailed case notes and reports
- Working with veterans to support their psychosocial, medical and RTW goals
- Opportunity to provide Adjustment to Injury counselling and Vocational Counselling in-person and via phone to support clients’ rehabilitation
- Working with adult clients living with varying socioeconomic, educational, psychosocial and nationality backgrounds
